Abstract

Aneurysms of the arteries of the upper limb are a rare pathology, divided into congenital (idiopathic) and acquired. According to international literature, a classification of arterial aneurysms in children according to R. Sarkar is proposed, in which aneurysms are divided into nine classes. Visualization of an arterial aneurysm in an adult patient mainly indicates acquired etiology. An adult patient's brachial artery aneurysm can be a rare but significant complication of interventional procedures. However, it is necessary to conduct differential diagnostics with possible pathological processes, such as an abscess, synovial cyst, tumors of the nervous system, muscle fibroma and Raynaud's disease. Computed tomography with intravenous contrast is preferable in the diagnosis of aneurysmal enlargement of the artery to clarify the morphology, topography and size revealed for planning subsequent treatment tactics.
