Abstract
The syndrome of neurovascular bundle compression occurs both in the form of lesions of individual components – veins, arteries or nerves, and in a combination of lesions of several components. Compression of the neurovascular bundle can develop between the stair muscles and the cervical rib, I rib and clavicle, and under the tendon of the pectoralis minor muscle. Also, the compression is influenced by the shape of the clavicle and the I rib, the location (angle of inclination) of the I rib in relation to the clavicle. In the case of a high location of the I rib and the shape of the clavicle with a bend back, the gap between the rib and the clavicle narrows. A gap of less than 8 mm necessarily leads to compression of blood vessels. In connection with the above, particularly important are high-tech diagnostic methods, such as multispiral computed angiography, which allows you to accurately verify the topography of the neurovascular bundle.
